Distorted Reality

This illustration explores the impact of drugs on perception, depicting a world altered by substance use—vivid yet chaotic, surreal yet unsettling. The distorted forms and melting colors reflect the illusionary effects of intoxication, where nothing feels stable or real. The central eye symbolizes a shifted perspective, while the dripping liquid represents the disintegration of reality.

Drugs do not bring freedom but illusion; not happiness, but entrapment. This artwork invites reflection: when perception is altered, what happens to the real world?

Future Coral Metropolis

This speculative artwork envisions a future where corals are no longer just a part of marine ecosystems but are engineered for human-centered applications.

In this imagined world, genetically modified corals have the ability to attract abundant marine life, making them ideal hubs for underwater seafood markets and restaurants. Humans dine beneath the waves, harvesting fresh seafood directly from the ocean, creating an entirely new immersive dining experience.

As night falls, bioengineered corals glow with vibrant colors, transforming the seabed into a mesmerizing underwater amusement park. The neon-lit reefs weave together a surreal dreamscape, offering visitors a breathtaking sensory adventure in this reimagined marine realm.

This work raises critical questions:

When humanity gains full control over nature, modifying it to serve our needs, can we still maintain a harmonious balance? Is this true coexistence, or domination? If corals become spectacles of human creation, do they still belong to the ocean—or to us?

Stepping into Others’ Shoes

This illustration series explores the importance of empathy through the theme “Step into other people’s shoes.” Using visual metaphors, the artwork highlights the shift in perspective between individuals. Only when we truly put ourselves in someone else’s position—experiencing their struggles and realities—can we begin to understand their world.

Vita Package Design

For this project, I reimagined the Vitasoy packaging design to enhance its visual identity and create a more engaging consumer experience. Using an illustrative style combined with modern design elements, I aimed to make the packaging more vibrant while conveying the brand’s warmth and natural essence. Inspired by everyday life and nature, the new design incorporates lively colors and a playful visual language, making the product more relatable to consumers. This redesign goes beyond just packaging—it extends the brand’s story, strengthening its recognition and market appeal.

The Woman of Time

She gazes forward in quiet contemplation, as if traversing the river of time. Gears, clocks, and birds intertwine within her adornments, each element symbolizing the passage of time and the imprint of memories. The steampunk-style goggles give her the appearance of a time traveler, wandering between the past and the future, witnessing the ever-changing flow of time.

TCAF 2021: Exploring Infinite Possibilities

This poster was specially created for TCAF 2021, capturing a world filled with imagination and adventure. Children soar through a dreamlike space, navigating between books and beams of light, symbolizing the magic of cinema—transporting us beyond reality and into infinite possibilities.

Faded Alley Dreams

Shanghai is my hometown, and the alleyways were the cradle of my childhood. These illustrations capture fragments of my memories and reflect my longing for home. From a mother’s gentle nagging to the warmth of a street-side noodle shop, from an old craftsman at work to the sound of music echoing through the alley, these familiar scenes shaped my world as I grew up. Time moves on, and the alleys are fading from sight, but through my artwork, I seek to preserve them—to hold onto the warmth of home and the lingering echoes of the past.

This is more than just a baguette wrapper—it is a canvas full of life. With my brush, I painted a vibrant tropical forest, where colorful parrots, fluttering butterflies, and lush greenery intertwine in a rhythm of nature. Bread represents the warmth of craftsmanship, and art infuses this everyday object with stories and emotions.

I hope this piece brings a touch of visual delight to the dining table and serves as a reminder that both food and life deserve to be embraced with imagination and beauty.

The Nameless Countryside

This is a place without a name, yet it holds some of my deepest memories. My grandmother’s home is not far from here, where the river flows gently, reflecting the changing seasons. A wooden boat rests quietly by the shore, as if waiting for something—or perhaps witnessing countless departures and returns. It may not be marked on any map, but in my heart, this is home.
